Fundamentals of Production and Inventory Control
The goal of this course is to impart an operational knowledge and understanding of Inventory Management principles and techniques from strategic to tactical, roles and responsibilities, and the impact that can have on a business.

Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Since 1973, the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program has educated more than 75,000 manufacturing professionals on essential terminology, concepts, and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control, and continuous improvement.

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

The Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program is a new industry educational and certification program created to meet the rapidly changing needs of the supply chain management field.
The CSCP program takes a broad view of the field, extending beyond internal operations to encompass all the steps throughout the supply chain—from the supplier, through the company, to the end consumer—and provides you with the knowledge to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize a company's value chain.

Professional Development Meetings (PDM)
Professional Development Meetings are typically held monthly. Local, regional and national speakers are featured presenting assorted topics of interest to today's operations professionals.
Plant Tours
Our plant tours feature leading companies from across our region and provide the opportunity to learn by seeing how theory is put into practice. They also provide benchmarking opportunities and foster the sharing of best practices and professional networking.

Time too tight for extended classes? Attend a part or full day seminar to pickup new knowledge on areas of interest to you and your company. Seminars & Workshops are held periodically on topics of Operations Management and Production and Inventory Control.

Unemployed Membership Extension Program
If you are an unemployed APICS member whose membership is coming up for renewal and you are actively seeking work within the production and inventory management field, you may apply for an extension of membership benefits through the Unemployed Membership Extension Program. This program enables members seeking employment within the production and inventory management industry to extend their membership for six months free of charge*. If you meet this criterion and are interested in applying for an extension of membership benefits due to unemployment, download an application or contact APICS Customer Support.
*Note: Members may apply for this extension up to three times for coverage over an 18 month period. Members apply for the extension through their local chapter, which must approve the request and waive chapter dues. Members approved for this waiver will receive electronic membership for the duration of the waiver, which entitles you to electronic communication of all member benefit materials.
